KM&A Files Lawsuit Against Dollar General Corporation, Woodrow Davis, and Pamela Biegel

Kraemer, Manes & associates, LLC “KM&A” has filed a complaint against Dollar General, Woodrow Davis, and Pamela Biegel in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
The Complaint alleges that Plaintiff Beverly Harris of Pittsburgh was viciously harassed by Mr. Davis, a Dollar General employee, based on her race. According to the Complaint, Ms. Biegel, Mr. Davis’ manager, witnessed Mr. Davis’ behavior and did nothing to stop him. Another customer is said to have called the police due to the increasingly hostile nature of Mr. Davis’ verbal attack, at which point, Ms. Biegel instructed Ms. Harris to “calm down.”
The Complaint further alleges that Mr. Davis, in mocking Ms. Harris instructed her to “look around” because she was in a “mostly White area.” Ms. Biegel is said to have agreed with Mr. Davis’ demographic assessment as she defended his behavior, assuring Ms. Harris that Mr. Davis is “not racist.”
