KM&A Sues Banfield Pet Hospital

Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC “KM&A” has filed a complaint against Banfield Pet Hospital (Banfield) in the District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The complaint alleges that the Plaintiff was terminated in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. The complaint states that the Plaintiff was subjected to harassment and a hostile work environment for several months. Banfield was also making the Plaintiff engage in discriminatory practices by refusing to hire qualified applicants for a position because they were pregnant.

Plaintiff complained about the harassment and discriminatory practices to several individuals at Banfield. Plaintiff eventually went to HR with his complaints. Within 30 days of reporting this behavior, Plaintiff was terminated. Plaintiff was terminated in retaliation for reporting Banfield’s discriminatory practices.
