KM&A Files Lawsuit Against Kaligraphy, Ira Ritter, and Lawrence Stout

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 19, 2014

Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC has filed a complaint against Kaligraphy, Ira Ritter, and Lawrence Stout on behalf of Rosemary Williamson in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. The complaint alleges that while demolishing a building located at 1008 Lincoln Avenue in Pittsburgh, an employee of Kaligraphy damaged a water pipe which subsequently flooded and significantly damaged the merchandise and basement of Rosebuds Fashions, a company owned by Ms. Williamson.

The complaint alleges that the owner of 1008 Lincoln Avenue, Mr. Ritter, negligently hired Kaligraphy to demolish the building which Kaligraphy was not qualified to handle. The complaint further alleges that Kaligraphy not only damaged the water pipe at 1008 Lincoln Avenue, but also let the water flow into and damage Rosebud Fashions while failing to contact both Rosebud Fashions and the proper authorities to stop the damage, all while not having the proper licenses, permits, and insurance for the demolition. The complaint seeks relief in excess of $200,000.00.

The lead attorney on this case for the Plaintiff is Christi Wallace. Full text of the complaint, as filed with the court, is available here: Rosemary Williamson v. Kaligraphy, Ira Ritter, and Lawrence Stout.
