Mart Harris, litigation attorney at KM&A since 2015, roots his aggressive and competent litigation approach from his experience with criminal law. In addition to criminal defendants, Mart represents individuals suffering from employment discrimination, whether seeking unemployment or workers compensation benefits, and clients involved in domestic relations disputes. “Mart attributes his willingness to fight for his clients as a result of his willingness to serve his country as an airborne infantryman in the US Army.”He attributes his willingness to fight for his clients as a result of his willingness to serve his country as an airborne infantryman in the US Army.
Mart relishes battling in the courtroom and propels his cases toward trial. His practice targets litigation. Mart spends the majority of his time preparing for Court, negotiating with opposing counsel, or litigating in civil and criminal courtrooms. With a philosophy of “prepare for the worst and work for the best,” Mart sets clients at ease for the sometimes tumultuous and often confusing litigation process.
Before joining KM&A, Mart managed his own private law firm, which he opened within hours of his admission to the Pennsylvania bar. He maintained a close working relationship with several Pittsburgh area attorneys, and he stood on the front lines of litigation. Within one month, Mart presented high stakes arguments on behalf of both criminal and corporate clients.
Mart grew up in Wilkinsburg, east of Pittsburgh. He now lives in Imperial with his wife Autumn, and their dog, Freckles.
