June 24, 2015

Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC “KM&A” has filed a complaint against Universal Companies in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The complaint alleges that the Plaintiff was not properly compensated for working under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA). The complaint states that the Plaintiff was working as an Engineer managing 8 different buildings. The complaint claims that Plaintiff was working well over 40 hours per week and was not receiving overtime for those hours despite bringing this to his Supervisor’s attention on numerous occasions. Other employees would receive overtime but when Plaintiff asked for it, his Supervisor would state that he was not eligible for overtime because his hourly rate was too high. Universal Companies is in violation of the FLSA for not providing Plaintiff with overtime compensation that is guaranteed to him for any hours worked over 40 hours per week.
