KM&A Files Lawsuit against Dawn Jeane, Hopewell Diner and Delta Business Enterprises, LLC
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 28, 2016
Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC “KM&A” has filed a complaint against Dawn Jeane, Hopewell Diner and Delta Business Enterprises, LLC in the Washington County Court of Common Pleas.
The complaint alleges that the Plaintiff was not properly compensated for her hours under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA) or the Wage Payment Collection Law (WPCL). The complaint states that the Plaintiff worked long, hard hours as a Cook and worked over 360 hours overtime without being paid. Plaintiff has tried to collect her money but has been refused.
All parties are in clear violation of the FLSA, which guarantees the Plaintiff overtime for any hours worked over 40 hours per week, and the WPCL, which requires the Plaintiff be paid for hours worked.
Lead attorney on this case is Christi Wallace. Full text of the complaint, as filed with the court, is available at docket no: 2015-6970.
