FORMER EMPLOYEE FILES SUIT AGAINST CONCENTRA INC. FOR WRONGFUL TERMINATION

PITTSBURGH, PA, March 9, 2016 – Michael Johnson filed a wrongful termination suit against Concentra Inc. alleging wrongful termination and race and sex discrimination in violation of Title VII and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

Mr. Johnson accepted a position with Concentra, Inc as an Assistant Center Operations Director on July 1, 2014. He was informed when he applied that he would be perfect for the open Center Operations Director position, and began training for that position. Later Mr. Johnson found out that the Regional Area Operations Director was insistent upon hiring a “Mom” for the center. Although Mr. Johnson was clearly qualified for the position, Concentra instead hired a woman who had previously been turned down for the position. Mr. Johnson was never given an explanation.

Ms. Johnson is represented by Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC, a Pittsburgh-based law firm focused on representing employees and protecting employee rights. The attorney on this case is Elizabeth Pollock-Avery, Esq.
